Weekly Challenges

Below you can access our weekly challenges. At Brick + Brains we use the engineer design process for each weeks challenges. We teach the following process in all of our challenges, encouraging children to think about the best solutions to the problem and work together.

 

Ask- define the problem: what design reaches the challenge?

 

Imagine- brainstorm possible solutions: think of lots of ideas that could work, select the most promising solution.

 

Plan- think! sketch! label! Pick a brainstorm idea, and plan your build

 

Create- make a prototype and test it: if it fails, modify your plan. Find out what others have done and see what works for them.

 

Improve-how can you modify your design to make it better? Make your conclusion, iterate.
